Most of the food that we serve at Twickenham Day Nursery is locally bought. Any other food from further afield is sourced from specialist shops when we need such things for ethnic dishes during festivals or when celebrating special days relating to other countries.

We do not buy in ‘cook and chill’ recipes – all of our meals are cooked/prepared on the premises

Tea: Toasted Sandwiches,Coleslaw Salad,

Lunch: Chicken & Veg Korma, Rice,

Naan and Raita,

(or) Quorn/ Vegetable Korma

Tea: Home-made vegetable pizza with salad

Banana cake.

 

 

Friday

Lunch: Roast with Stuffing,

Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes,

2 Veg, Gravy

Tea: Jacket Potatoes with Cheese and salad

OUR MENU MAY CHANGE ACCORDING TO THE SEASON AND/OR THE AVAILABILITY OF FRESH OR FROZEN PRODUCE

In addition to Lunch and Tea, the children at Nursery are offered:

 

Breakfast (between 8.00am and 9.00am) This consists of non sugar-coated cereals and toast or other breads such as crumpets, croissants or krisprolls, plus different fruit juices including orange, lychee, tropical, mango etc

 

Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks: Several different fruit and vegetable slices plus dried fruit to choose from or ethnic breads / breadsticks etc with dips. A choice of milk or water is offered

 

Supper: This is a very light snack and milky drink at around 5.40pm for those children whose parents have not yet arrived and who may be feeling peckish! This consists of biscuits and cheese, toasted fruit bread, cereal bars or fresh fruit, for example
